Operator I, Highway Department

The County of Clay, Missouri has an opening for a Operator I position. The primary purpose of this position is to perform professional level tasks in the construction and maintenance of county roadways. This position requires a Class A CDL with ability to obtain HazMat and Tanker endorsements within 6 months of hire.

Clay County offers a great benefit package to regular full and part-time employees including two defined benefit retirement plans fully funded by the County and a deferred-compensation plan with a match on the first 6% contributed. Golf Course Technician I, Facilities Management

The County of Clay, Missouri has an opening for a full-time Golf Course Technician I. The primary purpose of this position is the day to day maintenance of the golf course grounds and equipment. Requires a state pesticide applicator license.

Maintenance II, Facilities Management

The County of Clay, Missouri has openings in Smithville Lake area for full-time Maintenance II positions (Electrician - Equipment Operator - Plumber - General Carpenter). Purchasing Specialist II, Purchasing Department

The County of Clay, Missouri has an opening for a full-time Purchasing Specialist II. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Purchasing Manager in all county purchasing functions including long range planning and purchasing tasks. This position performs moderately complex assignments in accordance with Missouri State Statues (Chapter 34 & Chapter 50, 50.755-50.790) and Clay County ordinances.
