The Clay County Public Health Center's emergency order has been updated, effective February 21st, 2021. Restaurants, bars, and taverns may resume operating according to their permitted hours. Events are no longer required to submit a mitigation plan and there is no capacity limit on gathering size. You can read the full order here.
Please note that the Clay County Public Health Center's emergency orders still require facemasks inside all public spaces. Face coverings or masks must be worn over the nose and mouth by all visitors and staff inside any Clay County building. Social distancing rules always apply.
Some of Clay County's services, including the Assessor and Collector's Office, will remain available online or by phone. Smithville Lake and Clay County Parks information can be found here.
