Smithville Lake is still beautiful in the winter! Try your hand at dock fishing, or make your own winter adventure and explore our trails on foot, snowshoe or skis. No matter the season there is always something to do. Smithville Lake is waiting for you!
Old Christmas Tree?
We can help! Smithville Lake is hosting a Christmas Tree Drop beginning December 26 to January 31 at Little Platte Park. Trees must be free of ornaments, tinsel, and tree bags. In the spring, the trees are distributed to designated areas around the park, serving as mulch or habitats for fish and small wildlife.
