Airport Attendants

This position will perform assigned tasks involved with the care and maintenance of the Airport facilities and grounds. Clean and repair hangars and other airport amenities with approved methods and supplies. Perform litter control tasks within the airport facilities. Perform grounds and turf maintenance tasks using mowers, weed eaters, and hand tools. Using excellent customer service skills, establishing effective working relationships. Safely drive motor vehicles such as cars, pickup trucks, utility vehicle, and mowers. Follow all County and departmental safety rules, regulations and procedures. Weekend and holiday assignments may be required. Must be at least 18 years old; legally licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle; and able to work outdoors for extended periods.

Collector Attendants

The primary purpose of this position is to provide customer service for Clay County taxpayers in the performance of collection duties including over the counter transactions receiving and processing payments for decals, real estate and personal property taxes and balancing teller drawer. Answer phones and responds to inquiries regarding policies relating to the service provided. Receive, account for and balance daily receipts. Perform general clerical and administrative duties in support of department activities. Collect and process mail and payments. Enter variety of information into a database in order to update records, process transactions and responds to requests for information. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, availability Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, and six (6) months experience with similar positions or industries which utilize receipt of cash, reconciliation of cash drawer and customer encounters.

Camp Attendants

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to represent the Parks department and assisting the Parks Department in meeting business demands by collecting fees, providing visitor assistance, and responding to requests. Camp Attendants work alongside Camp Host working shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. as scheduled. Weekends and Holidays are mandatory.

Camp Host

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to represent the Parks department as a host to park visitors and assist in collecting fees and providing visitor assistance by responding to requests (day/night). Camp Host live on site during the camping season in their own RV/Camper fee-free and work shifts between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. as scheduled. Weekends and Holidays are mandatory and as there are sometimes split shifts.

Park Office

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to provide visitor assistance and assist office administrative staff. This includes Sells passes to public, collect camping fees, and takes shelter reservations. Informs public of rules and regulations, gives general information, gives directions, and answers various questions about park operations and park resources. Those with accounting skills may assume additional responsibilities for premium pay.

Park Naturalist

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to conduct varied outdoor interpretive/education programs and guided hikes or walks. This position will assist park staff with wildlife habitat restoration projects, exotic/invasive species control, research, data collection and provide interpretive outdoor/conservation education programs for people of all age groups and backgrounds in an outdoor setting, library, school, church, etc.

Fee Collector

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to collect fees at park entrance points and provide visitor assistance. This position also informs the public of rules and regulations, gives general information and directions, and answers various questions about park operations and park resources.

Marina Attendant

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to work in a customer service based environment with direct contact to the general public; assisting customers with marine services ranging from retail store purchases to boat rentals and boat slip renewals. Position also informs public of rules and regulations, gives general information, gives directions, answers various questions about park operations and park resources; follows basic rental boat check-in/check-out procedures; daily cleans rental boats, docks and retail stores; operates cash register efficiently and answers phone calls in a professional manner.

Park Maintenance

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is the care and maintenance of Park facilities and grounds. Mowing and trimming, litter and trash removal, shelter and restroom cleaning, operates trucks, mowers, string trimmers, hand tools and grounds equipment as necessary to maintain park sites and works with other crews as required.

Golf Course Maintenance

The primary purpose of this seasonal position is to assist the Parks Department in meeting business demands; operating light construction and golf course equipment required for a wide variety of golf course maintenance tasks, mowing and trimming, bunker maintenance, irrigation repairs, litter and trash removal, cutting tees/cups and other duties as assigned. Position operates trucks, golf carts, mowers, string trimmers, hand tools and grounds equipment as necessary to maintain golf courses and works with other crews as required.
